Cricut Cirlce - Get Circled

Cricut has a new gimmick. I don't know what I think about it, I'll have to check more into it but the price seems a bit steep since I don't ever pay full price for any cartridge.
Check it out at
The sites that have this posted that I check regularly are Just a Scrappin and Obsessed with Scrapbooking.

Shrinky Dinks

I remember them from when I was a child but I never owned them. I've seen them at Michaels but thought, "What would I do with those things?!" A couple weeks ago I was cruising the net and found a post about Shrinky Dinks and it was inspiring. (Check the post here)
My mother makes jewelry so we decided to try this out. We went to Michaels and used a 40% coupon making the price about $3.50 for 10 sheets. You need to use the pre roughened onse for these projects. I tried it first with a stamp and some colored pencils. They darken up substancially when they shrink. The items end up about 1/3rd the size of the original item. Next we tried it in the printer - and it worked! Here is an item I tried. It was originally a party decoration for my mother's 50th b-day party. I'm using it in a mini-album that I'll post when I'm done.
The original image shown here on a papertowel was about 10" long.

Embossing Pen from Cri-Kuts

So, we have a blade on our Cricuts that cut paper. Pens and markers that you can attach to draw instead of cut. Now there is a stylus that will emboss the image instead of cutting or drawing. I'm very curious to see how this thing works.

Baby Pooh Cake

Attended a dear friend's baby shower today and I always try to do something artsy for those I love so here where my designs.

More Great $1 Buys

Michaels also has a great $1 section that I cannot resist any time I am there. Right now they have 4 pots of glitter or flocking. These are great buys and come in fantastic colors. I also love the stamp sets in the dollar bin and save them in a coupon seperator that I got in the Target dollar bin.

CK Convention

There are a few conventions that have classes for papercrafting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, etc.

The two that I found were:

CK Convention

Scrap Expo

$1 Bin @ Target

I can spend hours at Target in the dollar bins. During most major holidays Target has $1 packs of paper. I bought 2 packs and here are some pictures. There are also glitter stickers, epoxy stickers, rubons, & ribbon to match each theme. I also bought some of the rubons for the spring theme. They make good paper for cards or scrapbooking. Our Target also has a dollar section in the Scrapbook isle and they have 2 pages of glitter paper, stickers, rubons, and a bunch of embellishments. Kind of cool to check out if you're there!

Just Getting Started

Just getting started here on my first blog but it seems necessary to really participate in scrap challenges and to share stuff with friends and family.
